History of MCS

Muncie Christian School has been “Training God’s Children” in the Kansas City Metropolitan area for over 51 years. It has been a privilege to work with those children and families God has directed to our school. Our goal and purpose is to train and educate these children for now and eternity as we teach them how to utilize their talents and abilities in orders to further God’s Kingdom. We want every child who passes through our doors to become responsible, seed-throwing, Christ-loving Christians.

Our staff is dedicated in their desire to serve God at His school. Utilizing their countless years of experience working with children, our staff loves their students as if they were their very own. We believe that the passion we share for the Lord, and compassion for his children are some of the greatest gifts a teacher can give a child.

Muncie Christian School is a non-denominational school and is not supported by any one church. We believe we are to be a community supported school. There is no way we could continue to touch so many lives if our community did not support our cause. God has called us to cross traditional denominational lines to be a Christian school for all people.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to "train up a child in the way he should go so that when he is old, he will not depart from it." We want our students to find God's plan and purpose for their lives so that they can be a beacon of hope to a hurting world. Our desire is to touch the lives of our students and families with God's love and impact our community for God's glory. Our primary goal at MCS is to educate our students beyond academics, teaching them how to share God's love with others so that they can affect change. We want to educate the child in every area, mentally, physically, and spiritually to create well-balanced maturing Christians.

Articles of Faith

We believe:

  • In the verbal inspiration and plenary authority of the word of God contained in the Old and New Testaments.
  • That Man is a created being, formed, given life, and became an eternally existing soul, as recorded in the Genesis account, and did not come into being by an evolutionary process.
  • In the sanctity of life beginning at conception.
  • In the Trinity of the Godhead.
  • In the Virgin Birth and Deity of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
  • In the person and work of the Holy Spirit.
  • In the personality of Satan.
  • In the total depravity and lost condition of man by his Adamic nature and his need of the New Birth.
  • In the propitiation for sins through the substitutionary death of Christ.
  • In Christ's physical resurrection from the dead.
  • In justification by faith.
  • That every believer is called to a life of separation from all worldly and sinful practices.
  • In the personal, premillenial, pretribulation return of the Lord Jesus Christ, for His Church.
  • In the eternal conscious punishment of the lost and eternal bliss of every saved person.
